Crossing Over

I have had experiences in my life where I have helped people who have passed on without knowing that I had done it until it was over. During these events I experience feelings such as sadness, happiness, fear etc. I know that they are not targeted at me because I get hints to suggest who they are from. Am I physic or have some gift? Tanya

It seems that those of us who know the path through the tree of life are known to the souls who need our help - and so, on occasion, you will find yourself taking an unexpected journey... I once found myself helping a young man who died of AIDS to cross over - and found myself hung over from the morphine in his system for several days after... I was several miles from him when the experience occurred. The next day when his friend called me, I discovered that he had died on a strong shot of morphine... at exactly the time that I had been with him in spirit. A most extraordinary experience.

You are certainly psychic and probably also have some mediumistic abilities if this is occurring and I would also say that this has been a part of you through many lifetimes... Lotsa LLLove, Danielle

When we die, do we find out about our previous lives?

I think so yes.

How do we find out about our previous lives?

Probably in whatever way we believe we will.  Me for example, I keep seeing myself sitting in front of a proverbial screen of some kind reviewing everything and how it all connects.

In our afterlife do we come back and live in the same country?

Depends on what you are up to and if the soul deems that necessary. No hard and fast rules apply.

Are we the same sexual gender?

Some say we are, others say we aren't. I see no reason to believe we have to be - I believe we can change genders. I see no reason not to do so if we wish at our spirit level.

Do we physically look the same or think the same as our previous life?

Some theories hold that we do, others that we don't. I can't really imagine the purpose of holding the same of everything life after life - doesn't seem to make much sense, but maybe yes, maybe no. Again no hard and fast rules. I personally believe we can change form and do not incarnate in the same body, form style shape substance.  To me that seems rather pointless. However, I suspect the true answer is that some do and some don't - yet again depends on the spirit/soul involved and the decision it makes from its own higher wisdom.

The first thing I'm going to tell you is to throw out the idea that the same things happen to everyone upon crossing.  Each death - transition is a very personal, very intimate and quite unique experience based on many of the beliefs the person doing the dying holds.

When it comes to suicide, our society tends to think of this as the worst thing a person could do. Most religions teach that it is a sin and there is"hell to pay".  However, I have found in my own research - admittedly not able to be truly validated through scientific means but nonetheless - that we have infused suicide with such fear and belief that it is so wrong but I don't agree.  It is something that a soul in great pain has come to and although there is a sort of grogginess, they are also received in love and gently guided to understand the reason for their actions.  It does not automatically mean the person has failed in their lives for we never know the true purpose of any one soul on this planet.  It is possible a soul has done this for reasons that are positive - not only for them but for others.

A woman a long time ago lost her son to suicide and produced a wonderful book helping many others through dealing with the effects of suicide.  I wish I could remember the title - I'm sorry I don't - but she channeled her son after his death and he gave a lot of information on suicide specifically that has since helped a lot of other people cope with such losses.  Would you call that success or failure?  Can't be classified.  How do we know that soul didn't come here especially to commit suicide so his mother could channel him and bring down information that proved so helpful to so many others?  We don't.  But it could be so.  It is not ours to judge.

With suicide, according to material available through Conversations with God series, it seems that we freak out about it in our society only if it is fast.  If we do things to slowly hurt ourselves, no one seems to mind. Taking a gun to our heads upsets everyone, smoking for years doesn't seem to.  See what I mean?  There are many things we do as humans that do not promote maximum life force, but we do them anyway without facing judgments from society or religion.  As a matter of fact, our world itself seem to be on a suicide course.  We don't honour life, or nature or nurture the things that really matter in general anyway, our systems certainly do not seem set up to support the highest quality of life for people.  So it strikes me as limited thinking to simply judge someone who has so much pain they take themselves out to "go home" so to speak as somehow sinful.

Having said that there is no way to escape anything we have done in our lives.  Although our deaths do open up much greater perspective, we still relive our lives - apparently through the eyes and experience of everyone we have ever affected - not from our previous point of view.  So, there is no escaping anything, just balancing - which is the purpose of everything anyway - balancing.
