The Nostradamus Hoax
Immediately after 911 there was circulating on the web and through the news media a set of quatrains said to be attributed to Nostradamus that predicted the terrible events of Sept 11, and an upcoming Third World War. These quatrains are NOT the work of Nostradamus. Following is what we know of this hoax.
The Quatrains in Question
From the sky will come a great King of Terror...
The sky will burn at forty-five degrees.
Fire approaches the great new city..."
In the city of York there will be a great collapse,
2 twin brothers torn apart by chaos
while the fortress falls the great leader will succumb
third big war will begin when the big city is burning"
and another version....
In the City of God there will be a great thunder,
Two brothers torn apart by Chaos,
while the fortress endures, the great leader will succumb"
"The third big war will begin when the new city is burning" - Nostradamus 1654
The Truth
Nostradamus died in the 1500's... These verses are NOT the work of Nostradamus's work, nor even bad translations of his work. From my research to date, the above verses are believed to be an out of context excerpt from: Nostradamus: A Critical Analysis, by Neil Marshall. From other Nostradamus sites, I have learned that the phrases used may simply be a rehashing of some information posted on a prophecy site... they appear to be a play on his July 99/King of Terror quatrain; in any case, the quatrains being circulated now are definitely not his work.
That said, in light of 911, the Nostradamus quatrains referring to events in July of 1999 now have a lot more meaning - especially when you consider the very strong likelihood that this plan was hatched about that time....
To help allay some of the fears rising, we will continue to research this hoax and update this page as new information is discovered. Unfortunately, with so much activity on the web and so many questions about this hoax, it has been difficult to access the legitimate Nostradamus sites for more than a few minutes.
This hoax is a good example of the kind of fear and rumour that will abound in the next weeks... it will be up to us to each do whatever research we can to verify the facts before we buy into any fear....
It is natural for us to respond in fear to these moments, and indeed this is a most frightening moment... the possibilities are truly ugly... let us pray for love and wisdom to prevail.
About the Question of a Third World War
Since 1999, we have been warning of the possibility of terrorist attacks in North America, associated specifically with bin Laden. We have been concerned about building tensions from the Middle East for some years, feeling that there existed the source of world conflicts... based on our visions, we see the tensions building until 2007 when we reach a crisis point. However, we did not expect the events of the last few days until this time next year, so it is hard to say just what the timing will be... There is no doubt that the years between now and 2012 will bring us some massive changes around the world... let us pray that we can generate enough love around the world, to prevent this from developing into that third world war that we all fear... that said, at the other side of that war could lie a golden age...
This moment could be about our learning to back away from our fear and anger and learning to love and listen... it is hard to say... but with every transformation comes the destruction of the old... and birth, while it is magnificent is also ugly...
All I know for sure right now is that staying in our love will help us all to manipulate the energies to create a more loving world...
