How will the 2003, a "5" year, the year of the Black Sheep, a year of movement and disputes, shape our lives - and the world?

About our process: Every year, Mary-Anne and I get together to lay out our readings for the next year.  In the process of sharing what we see in each of our readings, a quite complete and cohesive picture is produced. When we have finished taking notes from our cards, we "spin the globe", literally.  Where the globe stops, we focus for a second to notice what will pop out at us. I then take all of our notes and prepare them for posting... as I tap into our work and the universal mindstream on which we draw for the predictions, new insights or more detail may arise. The final result is what you see here.

Although we had heard reports through the Art Bell show that other psychics were having some difficulty in getting a "bead" on predictions for 2003, this was one year when getting down to work on the annual predictions seemed to come together a little more easily... but then that would be typical for a Sheep year. It would have been nice if that's all there was to the story. The trouble began when we thought we were finished... something was missing, and it seemed that we were saying the same thing over and over again... then we realized that this was part of the message for this year. Not only will we see old patterns repeated, but the same messages will be drummed into our heads over and over again.

The tone of this year is about brainwashing all of us and it will prove to be rather effective.  We think we are mentally strong, but they are very very good at their arguments and get us thinking in very confused directions.  It will require intuition to know if we are being told the truth.

What begins in March, when we feel the warriors open their march is only the tip of the iceberg to what we will see this summer - and over the next twenty years. 

The game is afoot.  Indeed!

In Numerology, 2003 is a "5" year, a transition year, a year of conflicts and disputes, a restless time. This is a year when folks will be pressured to make changes - many of them quite unexpected.  Issues can arise over spot shortages of food, water and even shelter as a result of failures in global distribution systems and environmental disasters. Still, we are learning to be more compassionate and caring and in the midst of chaos, soul mates can find each other, long-term commitments can prove to be "matches made in heaven", and creativity abounds.

"5" also speaks to the possibility of confusion, the potential for chaos, and in 2003 we see this manifesting in a great deal of confusion over "the facts". 2003 could be called the Year of Disinformation, a time when there is so much propaganda appearing through the media, that no one believes even the truth. But then, that's the point of this campaign. We must hone our powers of discernment this year!

The underlying tone of the times for 2003 is a sense that "the game is afoot", a general feeling that there is something going on, nations are gearing up for a fight, all is not as it seems. One of the first things we noted in both of our readings was a societal fear of what could be coming - the crystallization of so many beliefs and feelings since 9 11, and it is building; as if on a soul level, folks are sensing the shift that is upon us and realizing that we have missed something.  As the year progresses, we should all find that we're getting somewhat more clear about what that something may be...

2003, Another Transitional Year

I repeat from last year's work, "You could say that we are all living at "Ground Zero" right now. The rubble of the past world is falling at our feet and the new world to be formed in its place is not  imagined. We shall have to wait for the birthing process to complete before we can really get a good look at the new face we shall wear as a species and a planet."

All in all, though, we should find that this is an easier, smoother, gentler transition year, despite the terrorists and the war posturing. I began to notice this trend late last summer, when in reading after reading, I found myself commenting how next year would be easier, softer, financial stresses were relieved, true love was appearing.  It was almost spooky to see this happier trend appearing time after time, especially when we watched the energy on the global scene. 

Even before we laid out our cards, Mary-Anne and I noticed a kind of dual reality developing around 2003. Almost a sense of two-dimensional realities, or at least a two-layered reality - at the top level, we felt chaos, destruction, terror, on every front… but at ground zero, we saw people finding their mates, business and finances improving, life easing…

Still, we have to say, "Go with caution". The crystallization of beliefs inspired by 9 11 is also creating a frightening polarization, globally. Those who have held the power over the last many centuries are feeling threatened on almost every front; therefore they are more active than ever in attempting to manipulate world affairs - and our individual attitudes... beware the propaganda and manipulations of and by the media through 2003. Stage 1 of the conflict we see developing is likely to be a War of Words.

There is a lot of energy gathered around surreptitious activity, backroom meetings and decisions. While the outer motion will appear to move for global peace, there is another reality also in motion, opposing this movement. We will probably see terrorist activity step up around the world, folks growing more fearful... not just because of the political threat facing us, but because of the environmental devastation that could be rained on community after community, and the resulting economic hardship. 

2003 will definitely be a gentler year, but only for some, and this gentle, peace-focused energy will probably not be strong enough to carry into 2004. So use this time to catch your breath, but don't be tricked into believing that all is right with the world! Be alert.

Tones of the Times 

General Trends  

Russia is highlighted, but not necessarily negative as though the voice of the country is gaining more power.  I believe they will be somewhat pivotal in this UN resolution situation and begin to grow in power or stature on the world stage through this year.

Major year of deceptions and people seem also to be in a form of denial.  The economies are going down and this becomes a somewhat ignored fact or looked at in a superficial way.  Our attention will be diverted to issues of war and rumours of wars.

Image is like the musicians on the titanic when it was going down - they played their music as the ship sank - what else could they do.  Seems a similar feeling at a global level.  Other "enemies" seem to be rising, but are diffuse and not easily identifiable as tyrants.  Not sure from where - but seems not from anywhere on the hot spot map now (i.e. N. Korea, Iraq).

Charity works seems to increase but globally as though many causes get championed and the people's call is for peace - even if not the best strategic approach. Ed Note: The AIDS problem in Africa, and a number of environmental disasters have gained a great deal of public attention in the past year with many more celebrities like Oprah, beginning to champion the cause for women and children.

Deceptions around how our rights will continue to get stripped away.  Lots of propaganda from most sources.  The truth will become more bizarre and more difficult to ascertain.  Bush appears sure of self and high convictions.  US seems to stay split on this.  Not sure about other attacks this year-  seems to be lots of rumours and I feel there is plotting for more attacks, but somehow execution of attacks hits roadblocks because the terrorists are "having a bad day" type thing. 

Every time we think we understand what is happening geo-politically, something else will come up.   Money will be reported falsely and economies will be given false hope as the real truth is kept away from us which is that it is heading downhill much more than anyone is reporting.  A couple of truly unexpected turns of events - gains like new players on the stage as well as someone who appears to bring peace, but really doesn't.

Again China is a background player to be watched and it seems that they could be the source of some surprises. I am not sure how - support for North Korea is what we all think, but they may take a surprising approach there which doesn't seem to be quite the truth.  As though speaking peace and discouraging N. Korea, but underneath it, supporting it.    

Very odd - superficially might look like occasional good news, but again, no truth this year - lots under the stories and massive media manipulations - they may not even realize it actually - all year.

After the summer, a significant UFO sighting; watch for a large shared sighting, or at least a story that the propaganda machine starts - beware, this could be about setting us up to give away yet more of our rights - be cautious around the news associated with UFO activity - could be another manipulation.. Ed note: there has certainly been a dramatic increase in the number and intricacy of crop circles in 2003.

The manipulations at top levels of our universe appear to be almost cohesive for a time… the sense that the people are losing control, their voices not heard…

Bush determined to win the war on Iraq, despite the growing objections... and folks objecting more than ever to our leaders' attitudes that they know best what is good for us.

The feeling of a lot of reporting…. the media kept very busy this year with big local, regional, national and global stories. That War of Words, a year of disinformation, conflicting stories.

A lot of spiritual riches to be gained - but few are reaching for them…still, those who do, find affirmation and support.

A stronger focus on relationship, networks, folks reaching out to each other. Those families that held their own against the breakdown of family energy in the last decades find themselves gaining strength, collecting together, younger members reaching for the security of grandparents, aunts and uncles...

Last year we noted a rising female energy, and by this year we should see this manifesting - we should see many more women in leadership roles over the next few years, and some of them are getting ready to enter the scene as we speak.

There is a real worry though, folks are allowing the war machinery to build, choosing to put a blind eye to the global tensions as they focus on their own private personal wealth and comfort. The good news is that individuals appear to be on more solid ground - but be awake and alert - this may not be real…  a house of cards.

We will notice a kind of polarization politically, a sense of domestic protection, preparedness in almost every country around the world… Yet, while all this is occurring, more and more people are objecting, expressing their anger and resentment with "the system"  - thus increasing the threat of terrorist activity in almost every corner of the globe.

Things get “meaner”. One of the most frightening undertones of these times - a result of the polarization noted above is anger...

At the same time as the Indigo Children are maturing and gaining strength, so also are their opposites, those dark, angry, hate-filled youths who have no fear of death. They gather together and reinforce each other in their anger until it explodes on the streets. Radical movements, whether religious, political or racial are gaining strength and wanting to be seen and heard... they will have a hand in creating global chaos.

We noticed a new player on the world's stage. The antichrist moving into position, or at least another aspect of this energy? A male, likely dark-haired, perhaps a rather large man - or travels with a bodyguard.

Many countries seem to be redoubling their efforts to fight crime... this appears to be about attempting to stop the flow of underground money to terrorist activity, but it is also because of the problems associated with the angry young people we noted earlier.

Folks look back on the good old days, a kind of melancholy as we realize as never before that our world has changed.Over-commitment at gov't and corporate levels begins to show, cracks in the foundations now.Travel may become more of a concern especially towards the end of the year.

Some difficult news come Feb - warning shots??? (Indeed, by March the forces were on the March)

April - May, with the spring, folks seem to breathe a sigh of relief for a short time… spring is busy and active, the energy on the outside looks promising… by fall things seem to go a bit dark… and stay that way for some time… The sense that the lights go out by the end of the year...Ed. Note: there were huge power failures in North America at the end of the summer, and fires burning in many parts of the world... for many, the lights did quite literally go out last fall.

And so, we put out the call to everyone on our lists and prayed for rain.  This is Jennifer's follow-up note a few days later... finally, the rains came, but not before there were incredible losses... these same stories were repeated in many parts of the world last summer... what will 2004 bring?

  

Around the World  - Hot Spots

There could be a major player - like the antichrist coming into the picture, someone who is trying to call everyone to the table, and has a plan - an expert or some spiritual leader - but beware, there is another agenda here, things are not what they seem with this person.

Korean activity continues to stress, and watch for subtle moves in the background from the Chinese… preparing to make a big move on the world front over the next few years. Politicians, economists, environmentalists… all… should be paying close attention to what is going on behind those inscrutable Chinese borders.

Watch also for some significant news out of Russia…a country finally beginning to collect itself, despite continued problems with the Muslim community in Chechnya… important news from Siberia, exciting new discoveries…

We feel also a quiet gaining of power from India, a greater presence on the world economic and political scene, coupled also with a more intense focus on dealing with their internal problems. However, they are challenged by Pakistan - and by unexpected environmental and economic issues. 

Some country from Southern Hemisphere (not sure which - Indonesia maybe) - possibly more labour or economic unrest, but something seems to collapse (like an economy?) in southern hemisphere.

Australia burns and burns... there is a sense of a great cleansing occurring in that corner of the world. Yet there is a real strength developing at the core of this creative nation, a growing prosperity.

For some reason, we are worried about Japan,  in either environmental or economic feelings of "disaster".  Not sure why.

And something heavy from the very south - more adventures in Antarctica or do we find ice caps melting like crazy.  Political unrest may be what it is or a combination of those types of problems along with a weather pattern issue or very dry weather bringing water up as an issue again.  Water will be big over the next couple of years. Canada will be looked at with harsh eyes because we won't give it away.  We must be careful.

Economically

In the short term it looks like the financial picture brightens, stabilization of the US economy for a few months on the stock market, even some increases there, especially through the spring… but this is due to “fixes” adjustments that are made to make it appear that things have improved… in reality, the purse strings globally are being pulled tighter… we continue to discourage our clients from any play in the stock market.

2003 definitely sees some economic improvements, probably a result of the war machinery… but at the same time we'll see oil prices sky-rocketing - and probably not coming down for some years, if ever again. Ed note... gas prices continue to rise at the pump.

In the US Bush's new initiative for economic recovery comes out with a lot of excitement and for a short while may appear to be actually working, but it stalls very quickly and ultimately proves to be an ineffective plan… he really doesn't understand economics, that is why he must remain focused on war.While there may be no "Enron's" in 2003, the corporate community is tentative about growth and the stock market continues weak - and risky. While the field of bio-technology grows and gets lots of attention, technology in general is  uninspired through this year. Attention is on everything associated with national security. We may even find the resources for the current war on drugs, most especially marijuana, are being diverted to a fight against bio-terrorism.

Despite the manipulations around the gold and silver markets, we continue to recommend these as the safest investment over the next few years.

The Environment

Nothing new to report there really... more of the same... Severe storms, significant damages, record levels more severe than ever… 2003 will be a year of incredibly powerful storms - this is the year that we realize with certainty the need to have concern for the environment - there was a reason why Chretien was so anxious to see the Kyoto accord signed in Canada.

I feel weather again like in the previous years is crazy, but goes unreported as though no longer news.  Water is one of the crisis that hits the world stage with much more fervour this year and could end up causing more rumours of war as this issue becomes so hot and much more front and centre.  This continues to become a very big issue - bigger than oil.  So much double speak.

This one was hard to pinpoint - almost every part of the globe seems to be somehow affected by adverse weather conditions this year... although drought will prove to be the most prevalent condition.

In the US

A major power outage somewhere…in the west, North America - perhaps connected with terrorist activity… the threat of terrorism is real enough that we stay on our toes. Probably late summer. Ed note: and so it was... Much of north eastern North America in the dark for many days, but apparently NOT a result of any terrorist activity.....Weather extremes, but more drought and quite serious in many states. Many many storms this year, and it's not just the weather acting up.  There could be another serial killer on the loose - or three, especially in the south east....  A sense of revolt coming from some of America's young people - and a growing resentment around the President's regime. The nation is again split by the end of the year, but Bush acts like it isn't... this could be his downfall.

The US is beginning to suffer some losses - not just of people, warriors, but of image. The polarization we noted earlier affects the US on a global level... and we see China being the force that decides to put them in their place...

The Summary

At least 2003 will bring a smoother ride for some of us! Another interesting undertone for the year is the sense that the energy of Love is growing around the planet. While on a personal level, this could lead to many happy marriages in 2003 and 2004, on a global level it is having a very real effect on our direction as a species and a planet. We are becoming more compassionate and considerate, more willing to take responsibility for our thoughts and feelings, more willing to express Love, and to take heartfelt action.   The more loving energy we put out, the more likely it is that we can enter a Golden Age. 

Let us Pray... for a Loving Peace, a global prosperity. In Peace and Love, we prosper.
