I am angel intuitive and angel therapy practitioner, Sally Bates. Here is a little glimpse into my journey so far.
Without going into too much negative detail, at a few points in my life I found myself contemplating suicide as I attempted to deal with past experiences of rape, abuse, low self-esteem and a resulting eating disorder. I found myself seeking love and approval. I found myself moving from place to place hoping that a change of location would help. I also found my angels.
Soon after some very helpful and enlightening counseling sessions, I was introduced to Marianne Williamson through her book "Return to Love". I started to realize I had met many angels throughout my life who looked out for me. I was drawn to other books about angels and started my path working with the angels.
One day I was invited to attend a lecture by Doreen Virtue. The lecture included a one-day angel workshop. I dragged my husband with me. We didn't know what to expect, however we were open to the possibilities. I remember Doreen saying, "Today, YOU will be giving readings." My husband and I just looked at each and laughed, yeah right. I didn't doubt she was psychic, but me? I paired with a woman I didn't know for the reading exercise. We would be using the divining tool of psychometry. We were instructed to hold a personal metal object of the person we were to read in our hand. We would receive messages from the energy signature of the item. I told her I was open and if things didn't make sense we would just chalk it up to a fun experience. I grasped her wedding ring in my hand and closed my eyes and images started to appear. During her reading I saw angels, a long line of people behind her and a child in front of her beckoning to be acknowledged. I still didn't believe what I was seeing to be true. I then saw certain individuals take turns coming forward to communicate. I relayed their messages even though I may not have known what they meant. I reminded myself that the messages are for the person being read and not for me to doubt. So I began to describe to her everything I saw and everything I was told. When I opened my eyes she was crying. She was amazed by the experience and doubted it was my first time giving a reading.
While it was my first time giving an angel reading, it was not my first experience with the spiritual world. Many years back, on a night I had decided to kill myself I was sharing a room with my mom at my grandparents' house. Through the window came a bright light almost blinding. It illuminated the whole room. I remember looking at my mom sleeping and thinking it's going to wake her up! The light came to my bedside and Jesus appeared. He said I was not ready to go home. I had a purpose and that he loved me. I started to cry. I remember tears rolling down my face and he reached out to catch one of them. It was so real I could feel his touch. He then disappeared and I was once again in a dark room with just the moonlight coming in the window and my mom still sleeping at my side. At the time I didn't know what it meant or if it really happened, but the vision had given me hope that I had a purpose, a value in this life.
After the workshop, I purchased a deck of angel oracle cards. I used them as an additional tool to connect with the angels and receive guiding messages. I found that the messages provided through the cards were always accurate and perfectly timed. The angel oracle card deck is also a wonderful tool that assists me in reading people that are not in my physical presence (for which I am unable to hold a personal object).
The angel readings felt so perfect to me that I knew it was part of my life purpose. I decided to become a certified angel therapy practitioner. I completed Doreen Virtue's angel therapy certification course. The journey to become a certified angel therapy practitioner awakened me to the natural intuitive abilities that I always had within myself. We all have these abilities within ourselves. Since then I have given many readings and helped people to heal pain, grief, anger, fear and discover their heart's desires. I also began to help others uncover and develop their intuitive abilities and encourage them to trust the guidance they receive from their angels and spirit.
I founded Angelic Connection after realizing that working with the angels and helping others to connect with their angels gave me such joy. I now work full-time providing healing messages from the angels through readings and conducting angel workshops to assist others in connecting with their angels.
